Record Archive has been serving music lovers in upstate New York for over 50 years. Founded in 1975, today’s incarnation has over 13,000 square feet of space, with over 250,000 records for purchase.
Even better, it has a BAR, frequently hosts live performances, sells new and vintage stereo gear, vintage furniture, collectables, films, toys, etc. It’s the kind of place you can get lost in for a full afternoon.
We suggest fueling up with a garbage plate beforehand and just losing yourself for as many hours as you can. If you're anywhere in upstate New York, or just passing through on the Thruway, it's more than worth the detour.
