Beck
INDIE • 2026 • CAPITOL RECORDS
Beck's first album in seven years, and it sounds like it was worth the wait. He recorded it in Room B at United Studios in Hollywood, reuniting the players from Mutations, Sea Change, and Morning Phase and produced it himself, with Nigel Godrich mixing.
Let’s face it, Sad Beck, especially the Sea Change and Morning Phase Beck, has always been our favorite version of Beck (though we maintain a lot of affection for Quirky Beck too), and the early singles hint this record is very much a descendant of the Sea Change/Monring Phase period. And Sad Beck just sounds right on wax.
The title track dropped back in April, then got a duet version with Sierra Ferrell in June. Since then we've had "In the Night" and "Disappearing Act." Three singles has been enough to show we need to stop in and pick up a copy on release day.
Out now. We'll be spinning it start to finish, soon as we can.
