The Dusty Groove story starts pretty simple; a couple of buddies who loved digging out the rare and unusual got stuck in a snowstorm coming back from a buying trip and conceived of an on-line store. Four months later, they opened as a side-hustle; eight months after that, they had their first full time employee and a premises of sort—an office space that was previously used by a prostitute for her ‘business meetings.’
30 years down the road, they’ve been in their retail space on North Ashland for a couple of decades and are a must stop, especially if you like to spin jazz (new and classic), soul, hip hop, world and R&B. Allow yourself a couple of hours. It’s worth it.
